NBS360 is officially underway.
The project officially started with its Kick-off Meeting in Thessaloniki on 24–25 June, bringing together all 13 partners from 8 countries.
During the two-day meeting, the consortium reviewed the overall project vision, the role of the seven Mediterranean demonstration sites, and the first data, stakeholder mapping and site characterisation activities presented by each demo site.
The partners also aligned on several key technical and governance components of the project, including the Digital Twin and Integrated Decision Support System architecture, the use of the IUCN Global Standard as a shared evaluation framework, the sensor deployment plan, and the project governance structure.
The meeting also helped define the organisation of the work ahead through six working groups, six technical teams and an External Expert Advisory Board.
This kick-off marks an important first step for NBS360 as a Mediterranean innovation ecosystem dedicated to scalable Nature-Based Solutions, climate-resilient water management, digital tools, stakeholder engagement and long-term impact across the region.
